"Kentaur was established in 1991 in Prostejov, Czech Republic. Originally the company only sold to the domestic market, but in recent years has expanded internationally. Today you will see their products in more than 40 countries; not only throughout Europe, but also in Canada, Indonesia or Australia.
Since its inception, the company is constantly evolving, testing and improving their products. They endeavor to seek and produce only the highest quality materials and the highest quality detailed workmanship. Continuous and final quality control is compulsory. One of their biggest assets is their personal experience with showjumping and their stable which is located at the factory. This is where they test all new products before they are released.
Kentaur works with a large group of accomplished riders who thoroughly test all products before they are launched. The company also has a large facility primarily focused on show jumping, located close to the factory. Throughout our more than 30 years of experience,our motto has been to believe in common sense. Customize Your Saddle
Kentaur offers a wide range of customization options to ensure your saddle meets your exact preferences. Click on the headings to access the corresponding pages on Kentaur’s website, where you can learn more about each component. The link regarding TreeClix leads to the TreeClix website.
Saddle Tree – Many saddles are available with several different tree options. Webflex and GRP are the most common, but the tree can also be made of carbon fiber (Carbon), with an extra narrow twist (GRP Slim and Carbon Slim), or cut out for an extra soft seat (Venus Comfort).
Tree width and u-shaped bars – Kentaur saddles come in sizes 1–5 (N–XW). They can be adjusted one size up or down using cold pressing. If a larger adjustment is needed, the saddle can be sent to the manufacturer to replace the gullet plate with a different size. Saddles can also be ordered with TreeClix (see below).
In some cases, additional width at the front of the saddle is required. Many Kentaur saddles therefore offer the option of a U-shaped gullet bar, which is 1.5 cm wider and 4 cm longer on each side. These come in the sizes U2-U4.
TreeClix – All Kentaur saddles can be ordered with pre-installed fittings for TreeClix. This system allows the tree width to be adjusted without cold pressing or replacing the gullet bar. Instead, wedges are used under the tree points, enabling the saddle to be made narrower while maintaining the width at the top around the withers. This is an easy, quick, and gentle way to adjust the tree width—by up to two sizes across seven increments.
TreeClix can also be retrofitted to many saddle models, regardless of brand. Contact me if you are interested in installing TreeClix on your saddle.
Panels – All Kentaur saddles I offer come with wool-flocked panels with gussets. Most of them can be ordered with French panels instead, meaning felt panels filled with wool. These are slimmer and do not have gussets. Panels can be ordered with extra height and individually adapted to allow for additional flocking if needed. Some saddles can also be ordered with the very short MK panels.
Saddle flaps – The saddle flap can be customized to suit your leg length. All jumping saddles can be forward cut and all dressage saddles can be made with either longer or shorter flaps.
Leather – Kentaur saddles are available in three materials: smooth leather, oiled leather (Country), and calf leather. I have chosen to only offer saddles in oiled leather or calf leather, available in black, dark brown, and tobacco, in several variations. Seat leather and knee rolls are available in standard leather or calf leather. Some models come with calf leather as standard, otherwise it can always be added.
Details – All Kentaur saddles can be ordered with a variety of personal design options such as patent leather, glitter, or crocodile-embossed leather. Solid-color options and different thread colors are also available. Saddles can be ordered in two-tone designs (for example, brown flaps with a black seat and knee rolls) for those who prefer that.
Warranty – Kentaur offers a 5-year warranty on the saddle tree under normal use (not covering falls or misuse), and a 2-year warranty on materials and workmanship.

Customise your saddle
Många av sadlarna kommer med flera olika varianter av bommar. Webflex och GRP är de vanligaste men det går också att få bommen i kolfiber (Carbon), extra smal midja (GRP slim och Carbon slim) eller utskuren för ett extra mjukt säte (Venus comfort).
Kentaurs sadlar kommer i storlekarna 1-5 (N-XW). De är ställbara en storlek upp eller ner i kallpress. Behövs större förändring än så går sadeln att skicka till tillverkaren för att byta ut järnet till en annan storlek. Det går också att beställa sadeln med TreeClix och korrigera storleken på det sättet, se nedan.
Ibland behövs extra bredd i fram på sadeln. Många av Kentaurs sadlar kommer därför med möjligheten till ett U-format järn i fram, vilket är 1,5 cm bredare och 4 cm längre per sida. Dessa kommer i storlekarna U2-U4.
Samtliga sadlar från Kentaur går att beställa med förinstallerade fästen för TreeClix. Detta är ett system som gör att sadelns bomvidd går att ändra utan att kallpressa den eller byta järn. Istället används kilar under bombenen, vilket gör att sadeln kan göras smalare medan vidden upptill, kring manken, bibehålls. Detta är ett lätt, snabbt och skonsamt sätt att byta bomvidd, upp till hela två storlekar fördelat i sju steg.
Treeclix går att installera i efterhand på många sadelmodeller, oavsett märke. Kontakta mig om du är intresserad av att installera TreeClix på din sadel.
Alla sadlar från Kentaur som jag erbjuder kommer med ullstoppade bossor med kilar. De flesta av dem går att få med fransk bossa istället, det vill säga en filtbossa fylld med ull. Denna är slankare och har inga kilar. Bossan går att beställa med extra höjd samt anpassas individuellt för att ge plats för extra stoppning vid behov. Vissa sadlar går även att beställa med den mycket korta MK-bossan.
Sadelns storkåpa går att anpassa efter din benlängd. Alla hoppsadlar går att få framskurna och alla dressyrsadlar kan göras med både längre och kortare kåpa.
Kentaursadlar kommer i tre material - slätt plattläder, oljat läder (Country) och kalvskinn. Jag har valt att enbart sälja sadlarna i oljat läder eller kalvskinn och de går att välja i svart, mörkbrun och tobak, i ett flertal olika varianter. Sitsskinn och knävulster kommer i standardskinn eller kalvskinn. Vissa modeller har kalvskinn som standardutförande, annars går detta alltid att lägga till.
Alla Kentaursadlar går att beställa med en mängd personliga tillval såsom lack, glitter eller krokodilpräglat läder. Det finns också helfärgade alternativ samt olika färger på tråd. Sadlarna går även att beställa tvåtonade (till exempel bruna kåpor med svart sits och vulster), för den som önskar.
Kentaur lämnar 5 års garanti på bommen vid normal användning (ej vid omkullridning eller vårdslös användning). 2 års garanti på material och tillverkning.
